Week 15 – Love and the Creative Process, Insight, and the Power of Words

This week I learned the importance of love and insight in the creative process. I also learned the importance of words.

Love and the Laws of Attraction and Growth

We all want a harmonious outcome. Haanel describes this as a life of comparative peace and happiness.

The creative process to achieve a harmonious outcome is to

  1. to have vital thoughts (defined as thoughts that are full of love)
  2. this love then activates the law of attraction and brings the necessary material for growth
  3. growth is an exchange of the old for the new
  4. this exchange requires that we give to make room to receive
  5. repeat the whole process

If you are in a state of excitement, you are in love with what you are thinking.

I know when I am excited. There is not any confusion.

This makes me excited, as it is simple.

I am excited about my DMP. I bet you are excited about yours too.

Thus, the harmonious creative process is to be excited,

thinking loving thoughts,

in a dynamic flow of giving and recieving.

 Insight

Loving thoughts are positive. Negative thoughts are by their very nature not filled with love.

Hannel states “Insight enables us to plan to advantage and turn our thought and attention in the right direction, instead of channels which can yield no possible return.”

He teaches that we must go within to gain insight. Insight is developed in a state of silence though concentration.

The harmonious creative process is to be excited, thinking loving thoughts, in a dynamic flow of giving and receiving. MKMMA Week 15

Words are Powerful

I have known for a while the power of words. Haanel reemphasized this for me this week.

Words are thought forms. As thought forms, they carry all of the creative power of thought. Haanel describes the importance of words with beautiful clarity in the following descriptions.

Week 14 Persistence, Harmony, and Being You

We were given the assignment to watch on of four movies and relate the story to the habit of persistence.

My choice was Walt Disney’s “Cool Runnings”.

This is the inspiring story of the first Jamaican bobsled team that went to the Olympics in 1988.  This team demonstrated persistence, harmonious creation, and provided an amazing expression of unique creativity.

Persistence

The four habits are

  1. A definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillment
  2. A definite plan, expressed in continuous action
  3. A mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences including negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintances
  4. Friendly (mastermind), alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose

The main character Derice Bancock had a goal to go to the Olympics.  He had a definite plan.  He elicited his best friend to make it happen.  Thus, he had a friendly alliance.

They went to extreme lengths to get a coach, a team and money.  The mastermind grew.  This team practiced and practiced.  They took continuous action to make the Olympic goal a reality.

Throughout the whole movie, the Jamaican bobsled team was the object of many jokes.

At first, they did not have support from town leadership, parents, other bobsled teams, the Olympic committee, and even the press.

Throughout all of this adversity, they kept their mind focused on the result.

Eventually they turned everyone around.

Harmonious Creation

We also learned this week about harmonious creation in our week 14 study of Haanel’s Master Key System.

You start with a thought that is clear-cut, steady, fixed, definite, and unchangeable.  In other words, you start thinking about a specific clear definite purpose.

The next ingredient is to combine the clear definite plan with right thinking and discipline.  This means staying focused even in the face of adversity and having the discipline to take continuous action.  Haanel tell us that this results in harmonious conditions.

The Jamaican bobsled team went to the Olympics.  They became role models for the rest of Jamaica and for the world.

They had a plan.  They had right thinking and discipline.

Their effort resulted in harmonious conditions.

Being You

There was one point in the Cool Runnings movie where they were trying to succeed by being someone else.  It did not work.   They had the worst bobsled run ever.

Once they embraced their uniqueness, and started to come from that place, they had a completely different outcome… success.

I used to think that success was fitting in and making myself just like others.  Then I realized that truly successful people are not followers… they are not just like everyone else.

I know now, everyone is a unique expression of the All That Is.  This is key to the difference between successful people and all others.

Successful people allow their unique light to shine and be experienced.

Enjoy the following short clips on some of my favorite scenes.

The best I can be is myself!

Week 13 – Being Happy – I Will Persist

I Persist Until I Succeed

This week is our last full week with Scroll III from The Greatest Salesman by Og Mandino.

I learned I am tested every day.  Yes, I am willing to take each test and keep going.  I am a Lion (definitely not a sheep).   Failure is not my destiny.

I know rewards are not giving out when you start.  I will take the steps necessary.  I am patient because I do not know which step will bring success.

The biggest lesson for me was the importance of consistently.  Og gives an analogy of cutting down an oak tree.  He explains that…

I think my favorite part comes next

The last part of the scroll was a bit difficult for me.  It talks about keeping going at the end of the day and making one more attempt.  I know that I have some work to do on being consistent… consistent to the very last hour.  Although…  I also know that

“I will persist until I succeed.”     ;o)

I persist until I succeed!!!

I persist until I succeed!!!

Being Happy

In this MKMMA course, we are learning how important it is to be happy.  Well on this line, I wanted to share a video with you on this subject.  It provides some ideas on “How to Be Happy, Strategies to Release Endorphins” by Amanda Gore.

Week 11 – Immersion Belief and the Four Tiny (Big) Habits

Inductive Reasoning

If you develop, a general rule or set of actions by considering facts this is inductive reasoning.  I learned this week that inductive reasoning is how to define the plan of action to make your goals happen.

As Hannel states,

Intuition is an ability to know or understand something through your feelings instead of by facts or evidence.  In the video below, Patrick Schwerdtfeger talks about the importance of immersion to further the ability to leverage unconscious mind to further your goals and aspirations.

Immerse yourself to learn quickly and further your experience and expertise.  This activates your subconscious mind…   whether in inductive reasoning or intuition.  Immersing yourself in thoughts of your passion and goal is critical to success.  Our MKMMA program is all about immersion.

Belief

Finally, we learned this week the importance of belief and faith.  We focused on the following statement during our meditation sessions.

The Four Tiny Habits

Mark Januszewski shared with us the following four habits for our success.

Even though he called them tiny, I think they are actually BIG.   I know that I have some improvement opportunities with all of these… especially with number 2 and 4.

Week 10 – Visualization

We have had many experiences in our lessons to improve our visualization.  Each day we sit for at least 15 min and focus on the weekly exercises.

Review of What We Learned in our Visualization Exercises

In the first week, we practiced the skill of physical control.  Our required exercise was to sit still completely.  If we moved in the allotted 15 min, we had to start all over again.  Yes, it definitely takes some practice but we made it through it.

We had the opportunity to practice observing and releasing our thoughts in week two.

The next exercise was interesting.  We practice releasing all physical tension for a total week.  It is amazing the relaxation you experience as you release the tension in your physical body.

The next exercise was the hardest of all for me.  We stopped thinking completely during our daily sitting sessions.  Wow.  Again, we made it through and we were successful.

The following weeks brought us to visualize specific things.  In lesson 5, we experienced a past event.  Next, we saw a photo or ourselves.

During the seventh week, we had the opportunity to converse with a friend.  It was so real.  In every way, my friend Barb was actually there.  That was a wonderful experience.

Lesson eight we were asked to visualize a battleship.  I really have never thought about a battleship before… let alone in so much detail.  We were asked to travel back and think about every aspect that made the ship.  We went back to the idea in an Engineers mind.

I liked lesson 9 as we grew a flower during our daily sit.  I experience the whole lifecycle from seed to flower.  The roots spread into fertile ground.  The plant grew green leaves sprouting.  Finally, a bud and then the flower opened to the sun.

Now this week we have the opportunity to see geometric forms.  A square.  Then a circle is manifesting c in the square.  Then we see a point, which expands to a cone.  The best part comes next when we get to change the colors.

What I Learned This Week Concerning Visualization

My learning this week is to visualize the most absolute wonderful ideal, let go, and let the universe handle all the rest.

As Hannel states,
“The great error of the present day is the idea that Man has to originate the intelligence whereby the infinite can proceed to bring about as specific purpose or result.  Nothing of this kind is necessary; the Universal Mind can be depended upon to find the ways and means for bringing about any necessary manifestation.  We must, however, create the ideal, and this ideal should be perfect.”

I ran into a video where Basar explains visualization.  He asks us to remember that the physical mind is limited in what it can see.

As I understand, he suggests we use the following five steps.

  1. Visualize your intention and make it the best you possibly can. Get excited.  Make your minds picture the ideal of this exciting reality.   See it and get in the excited state.
  2. Next, absolutely let go of any need for that specific visualization to come into manifestation
  3. Hold on to the excited state of being itself.
  4. Give the state of being to your higher mind.  Your higher mind has the ability to know how something is going to happen.
  5. The higher mind brings you the manifestation that actually is representative of the energy state.  In fact, the higher mind may in fact actually bring you a representation that is even better than your physical mind was capable of visualizing.

Let go of the outcome to stay out of your own way and optimize the outcome.

Let the universe do its amazing work.

Week 09 – Affirmations Incantations Making an Impact

I learned this week that the Master Key system was actually a 24-week correspondence course written by Charles Haanel.   I find it interesting this system was first published as a book in 1917… basically a hundred years ago.

This week we are on week nine of the lessons.  In this weekly lesson, Hannel talks about affirmations.

What is an Affirmation?

The best definition of an affirmation comes directly from Haanel

“Hold in mind the condition desired; affirm it as an already existing fact.  This indicated the value of a powerful affirmation.  By constant repetition, it becomes a part of ourselves.  We are actually changing ourselves; are making ourselves what we want to be.”

An affirmation is a statement that something is true.  It is a way to focus your thoughts.  It is a way to create your life by consciously selecting your words and thoughts.

Affirmations attract specific experiences to ourselves based on our thoughts.   Affirmations are tools to realize anything in our lives… health, wealth, and love.

How to Use Affirmations Effectively

In order for affirmations to be effective, you must realize the truth.  You are a spiritual being connected to omnipotent power.  The “I” in you is in harmony with universal mind and is omnipresent.  Thus, you can use right thinking to place yourself in harmony with your true being and bring yourself into the same vibration of those forces associated with your desire.  If you desire health, you place the “I” in you in the harmony of true health.  If you desire abundance, you align the “I” in you in harmony with universal mind and bring yourself into vibration with those forces, which make for success.

The affirmative statement is best in present tense.  State your desire as if you have already received it. State clearly, what you want.  Make the vision so complete that you enter the spirit of the desire.

Take care to make your statement what you want.  Do not state what you do not want.  Your subconscious mind does not know the difference.  It is very literal.  If you affirm, “you do not want debt”, your subconscious mind hears debt and that is what it will provide.

Repeat the affirmative statement enough times to influence your subconscious.  You must train yourself with this new affirmative thought.

If jealousy, worry, or any fear enters your mind then substitute your thoughts with your affirmative statement.  Make your affirmation your new habitual thinking.

Tony Robbins does not use affirmations.   Instead, he uses incantations.  An incantation changes your physiology.   You embody it.   You use your body and voice.  State your incantation with emotion!!!   He then visualizes it and is grateful for its realization.  I love the following video.

Success Stories

Fredrick Andrews use the affirmation, “I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy” to cure himself of Potts disease.  This recovery happened even though all his Doctors said he was incurable.  He used this prayer to transition himself from a crooked twisted cripple to be well, strong, and straight.  He used this affirmation not only for himself but he also used the same affirmation to affirm for others.

Tony Robbins used this incantation to move from making 36k per year to over 1M per year in just one year.  WOW!  Listen to the way he states this in the video.  You can feel the way he is in harmony with universal mind and aligned with the vibration and forces, which make success. He visualizes it and is grateful for its realization.

Week 08 Putting It All Together

MKMMA Week 08 - Instead of asking Who I am?… Ask… Who Do I Say I Am?

We are in week 8 of the Master Key Master Mind Alliance.  This week is and important week for bringing everything together.  In my experience, there are three parts.

  1. What is the Master Key?
  2. How to use the Master Key to open thoughts to desires.
  3. The plan to keep thoughts open to desires

What is the Master Key?

Real power comes from within.  Thought is the creative principle that which takes form and comes into manifestation.  We have a choice to think whatever we want.  If we choose to think constructively and harmoniously on our goals, they will come to reality.

How to use the Master Key to open Thoughts to Desires

The recipe for using this key is thought management, imagination, with spices of emotion and belief.  Thought management is a mental diet.  Be conscious.  Analyze all thoughts and make it a practice to substitute positive for negative thoughts.  Remember if the manifestation of the thought benefits you and all whom it effects… treasure it so it will grow.

Imagination is critical.  As Hannel states,

“The cultivation of the imagination leads to the development of the ideal out of which your future emerges.”

It is important to spend time thinking and imagining on “who” you want to become.

The Plan to Keep our Thoughts Open to Desires

Mark, Davene, and the MKMMA team have given us a genius plan to follow.

  • DMP (Definite Major Purpose):  The first and most important activity is to write down our hearts desire.  It must be in alignment with Dharma.  Dharma is the basic natural law of the universe.    Your Dharma are those goals, which benefit you and all whom the goal effects.  These goals are in alignment with the harmony of your true being.
  • Daily Exercises
    • Sit and think.
    • Read the Master Key System by Charles Haanel and other positive uplifting information three times per day.
    • Read your DMP aloud with emotion three times per day.
    • Use the tools to break old destructive mental habits and substitute with new constructive habits… the cards, the shapes, the colors, the board, the recording, and the compass (and there are probably more).  The MKMMA team is organizing it so that we have an impression in every way possible to make a BIG impact.

Wow…  It is truly coming together.

Week 07 I Will Greet this Day With Love in My Heart

Silently say, “I love you” to everyone you meet

Week 07 I Will Greet this Day With Love in My Heart

One of my favorite parts of my MKMMA training is daily reading of the scroll.    We are currently reading the Scroll Marked II, “I will greet this day with love in my heart” from “The Greatest Salesman in the World” by Og Mandino.  It is special.

As the title suggests this scroll reminds us how to put love in our lives.  I count at least seven ways to be more loving.

  1. Bring love to every encounter.  As Og puts it “my love will melt hearts liken to the sun whose rays soften the coldest day”.
  2. Look on all things with love.  The suggestion is to love everything… the sun, the rain, light, darkness, happiness, and even sorrow.  It is stated…  you will be born again.
  3. Speak with love.  Find reasons to applaud those around you and shout their accomplishments from the rooftops.
  4. Act with love.  Find qualities in others to admire.  Use your love to remove suspicion and hatred.  Use your love as an example to build bridges so that love can enter all hearts.
  5. React to others with love.  When you react with love your will actually find that you are uplifted, calmed, and gain the strength to overcome anything.
  6. Silently say, “I love you” to everyone you meet.  (My favorite.)
  7. Love yourself.   Fill your mind with knowledge and wisdom.  Feed your soul with meditation and prayer.  Share your heart so that it will expand and comfort the earth.

Thank-you for visiting my blog…   Love, Carolyn

Week 06 Thoughts are Electric and Emotions are Magnetic

Concentration is the process of giving all your attention to something.   Attention is thinking or being interested in what you are listening to or watching.   Interest is a feeling of wanting to know about or take part in something.

"Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts." - Soren Kierkegaard

Attention or concentration is probably; the most important essential in the development of mind culture.  The possibilities of attention when properly directed are so startling that they would hardly appear credible to the uninitiated.  The cultivation of attention is the distinguishing characteristic of every successful man or woman, and is the very highest personal accomplishment which can be acquired.”

The Master Key System, Charles F Haanel

I ask myself, does giving something your attention have a feeling?  In my experience, the feeling is what brings your attention.  A good book, locks you in with all the feelings of the story… romance, suspense, or laughter.

What effect can be produced by thought?  The reply is that thought is mind in motion, and that its effect will depend entirely on the “mechanism to which it is attached.”  Here then is the secret of all mental power; it depends entirely on the mechanism which we attach.”

The Master Key System, Charles F Haanel

A mechanism is a method or process of getting something done within a system.  Thus, Haanel is telling me that the secret key is process we connect to the thought.

Haanel relates this to electricity.  He challenges us to ask an electrician “what can electricity do?”    He states that they will come back and say it depends upon what process you attach to the electricity.   You can have heat from a heater or music from a music player.

Consider for a moment that thoughts are electric and emotions are magnetic.

I love to connect these concepts to science.  I found a description on how a generator works.

“At its simplest, a generator has rotator, a shaft and an assembly made up of magnets surrounded by a conductor. When the energy – wind or water, for example – moves the rotator, the shaft spins, causing the magnets to move. The spinning of the magnets is what generates voltage, which drives electric current into power lines for distribution.”

Discovery Channel – how-do-generators-create-electricity

In order to get electricity to move you must have spinning magnets to generate a voltage.  Consider the analogy that to get our thoughts to move we need to attach them to a spinning emotion.  Spinning is the result of belief.

This process of manifesting an intention is initiated by concentration on thought of the intention.  The secret key is attaching a strong emotional feeling to the process of concentration.  This creates a voltage potential and gets the thought intention moving to manifestation.
